I thought I would share this with everyone. I dont know if you all remember the swimming debacle a few days ago.... Well my boyfriend and I went to his school pool (Purdue University) and low and behold, there was a sign (HUGE sign) on the entrance door to the pool. In a nutshell, it said "under no circumstances can you swim in the pool if you have had diarrheal in the last two weeks. I found it very comforting. All pools should have signs like that. Especaily water parks. It also said something about kids having to have a special kind of diaper. Just thought I would share that with you guys!

I think it is great that this school posted this, but what about the STUPID people that wont go by the rules. I am not trying to put a downer on this I swear!! But seriously, what are they gonna do, ask everyone when they come in if they have had any diarrhea in the last two weeks? How I wish more people would follow the rules!!!! Then there might not be the need to post a sign like that, if more people would just use more common sense!!!!

Isn't the fact that swimming pools are full of chlorine mean they're fairly germ-free? I've drank loads of pool water in my time (I'm not a briliant swimmer!) and have never been ill from it.

Nope.. Unfortunately chlorine doesn't kill everything. There is a chlorine resistant bug that causes stomach virus like symptoms.

But that is great news! I am glad to hear it!
