Hi all, I haven't posted on here for a while but hope you can help calm me a little.

My Mum is in a residential home and two years ago a V bug was going round the home, there was even a sign on the door saying 'enter at your own risk' because of the bug. I thought I'd escaped it when a week or more went by and I didn't get it but then I did get it and actually V***d for the first time in fourteen years.

So today I went to see Mum and there was that sign on the door again, another V bug going round. I didn't see the sign until I'd been there about ten minutes and one of staff told me about it. She said that two of the residents on Mum's floor had gone down with it. Its the first time this bug has gone round since that time two years ago but because I got it then I am terrified I am going to get it now. When I walked down the corridor I could even smell the V.

I know I won't settle until at least two weeks has gone by without there being any sign of it in me as it tooknearly two weeks afterwards for me to get it before, unless I got it from elsewhere that time as it had all cleared in the home by the time I got it.

I just can't bear the thought of it happening again, especially as I live on my own. Please help.

I'm guessing that last time you got it that it was from somewhere else. I don't think it takes 2 weeks to get something. So you are going to be fine! Don't worry about it, even though I know that's hard to do.
