Migraleve Pink. It's intended for migranes but it works on n* and v* as well. It's really strong stuff and saw me through a nasty bout of s*v* a few months back, but because its so strong and potentially addictive you can only take it for so many days in a row.

There is Buccastem too. I didn't find that that one works particularly well for me, but I know some people who swear by it for hangovers haha .

Yeah, I've tried buccastem but it wasn't great, thanks for the other though, can you get it most places? How did you deal with your s&v? X

No problem. I'm pretty sure Boots will stock it, my local one does anyway.
I dealt with having an s*v* by staying in bed for as long as I could get away with and sipping cold water. That said, I didn't actually v* during it. Honestly though, I'm a lot more afraid of others v* than myself (only afraid of myself v* in public) so I was able to cope.

I've recently bought motulim, you can get that over the counter in boots, don't know how good it is though! Pepto bismol meant to be good too

Avomine and Sominex - both phenergan, both very effective.

What Gracie said. Those are highly effective and fairly safe if used by themselves. The keys are 1) Don't use them unless you are really sick....tricky for us emets! 2) If you are sick, DON'T wait till v* has occured, and keep redosing every 4-6 hrs until you're out of the acute phase of the illness. Check UK, EU and US FDA online sources about promethazine or better yet talk to a pharmacist or doctor about it. I've been told they won't sell you phenegran OTC in the UK if you say you're using it for nausea so...you might not want to tell the pharmacist where you're buying it what you're using it for. Nevertheless, check with the professionals before you mix it with anything.

I have buccastem and domperidone on prescription but I honestly don't know how effective they'd be in the case of noro. I do think that if you're gonna be sick then you will be regardless of what tablets you take. I've taken both together in the past and all they do is make me woozy and twitchy. As far as I know the twitching thing is bad news (my dad was just diagnosed with Parkinsons and ironically the tabs he's been given are likely to make the twitching worse!)

Domperidone (motilum 10) is very effective. It's tricky to time things right though. I was nearly sick once (basically the dry heaves - shellfish intolerance) and the n* came on quite quickly, so I popped a domperidone but it didn't stop me retching. It takes a good 30 minutes to *really* kick in, but obviously you don't want to start popping them at the slightest bit of n*, or else people like me at least would be taking them a lot! And I like to save things for "emergencies" so they're v.effective.

Pepto Bismol is excellent for general upset stomach - I find it's particularly good with a hangover. Too much alcohol tends to make me have n* and d* if I've been very stupid and Pepto soothes the stomach and stops the d*.

Haven't had any other over the counter anti-emetics. I've had metoclopromide in the past on prescription but that definitely made me twitchy and shaky. Still effective though.
