When my cats first did it, I had to do it in stages. I would cover it up and spray something on top of the cover to take away the smell. I would go away and take breaths. I would use another cover (paper towel) to pick it up. I did not want any paper towels to get wet so I could feel it. Not freaked over germs, but this could help maintain virus particles (I would think). It just really grossed me out. I got better over time. So will you. This does not happen that often. Good Luck!

Newly single here too...I always did everything for my daughter anyway though, including cleaning up v* so I'm used to it. There's really not much choice though now as single parents...we just have to do it :/

Right, I understand having to do it, being a single parent and all. It's just the not knowing, you know. Thinking that sooner or later I am going to have to clean it up, terrifies me. I know I can do it. I've done it before. My ex was there with me thought. *graphic* I had actually caught my oldest's V in my hand...I survived too! lol But it is still a vivid memory to me. I know I can do it, but how much will I be traumatized, you know?

I'm a single mum to a 13 year old boy, I only remember him *v twice so far and one of them he made the bathroom. The other time I just went onto auto pilot and sorted it, I think its if he says he feels sick that I panic most, I guess like with us its the actual fear that is worse, when it happens you get an inner strength from somewhere.

Saying that I'm still terrified of him picking something up at school!
