What's your most recent traumatizing experience?

I was at In 'n Out with my volleyball team and I was ordering fries
when the guy behind me just fainted. I still remember watching him fall
backwards and hit his head, and the awful sound it made. I was boxed in
against the wall by his limp body, and so I completely freaked out and
jumped over his legs and ran to the other end of the restaurant. I
stood there shaking and watching him with morbid interest. He started
twitching, and other people were scared he was having a seizure but I
was terrified that he would v*. (He didn't, luckily.) And then he just
got up like nothing was wrong, and sat there drinking water. I was
shaking, weak-kneed, my heart was racing. I was about to leave when I
remembered they still had my money. I made some dumb excuse, canceled
my order, and got my money back. For the rest of the ride home I felt
dizzy, and kept replaying the incident in my head. I was so scared he
would get sick, I can only imagine how traumatized I would be if he
actually had. I thought I was nearly over my emetophobia....

One of the engineers where I work came in and he was ill so he went in the men's toilet to vomit - it's right next door to my office with only a wall in between. I put my fingers in my ears and said to the guy I work with 'can you hear him' and he said 'yes' so I had to run downstairs to the kitchen and stood there trembling for a while - it was a horrible experience. Then I had to come back upstairs while he was still here and I was terrified that he'd start gagging in front of me It was awful..

Thanks! When I think back to it I wonder why I panicked so much - it wasn't an sv he had so I knew I couldn't catch it but I was stood in the kitchen practically hyperventilating If it had been a cat or dog they could have done it by my feet I'd have been fine - I don't understand why that guy v* affected me so much when he wasn't even in the room.

I know how you feel, i can't handle people being sick even when it's obviously alcohol induced. I eventually calm myself down and tell myself not to be stupid baisically because it's the only way for me to deal with it and not freak out.

Once when i was at school my friend ran out of the room and when she came back i asked her what was wrong and she said she'd justed v*ed in the loos. I was panicky all day and i couldn't sleep that night, but i knew i wouldn't have caught it because she told me it wasn't a bug. My friend doesn't know about my phobia so they must think i was strange to avoid her all day.

GRAPHIC In my worst experience, I was'nt sick at all.My daughter got sick and Iwas doing my bleaching and lysoling routine. I did'nt want to use a towel to wipe it up so I used a couple of paper towels and in a panic, stupidly went to flush it down the toilet that my daughter just v* into. Well of course, it over flowed ALL OVER MY BATHROOM FLOOR!I started screaming and crying -I was petrified. I was also afraid my jerk neibors downstairs would have this come threw their ceiling. They probably heard me screaming and think I'm nuts. And the worst part of all-my daughters saw me freak out.Istill feel such guilt about that. I'm their mom. I'm supposed to be able to handle everything. I'm at least supposed to fake it and pretend everything is ok even when it is'nt. I never did catch that virus. But sometimes I think this is probably something my kids will always remember-that screaming out in fear of getting a bug I never even got!Mom could'nt even handle a toilet overflowing! What must they think of me?I hate this fear!!!

I think all the things your children have to look up to you for and love you for will wipe that from their memory soon enough. They won't think badly of you.

Recently (I don't know if this counts but...)I was going to drink some soda but the can was all dented and I was afraid that it had been tampered with or something so My sister said that she would drink some before me and see if anything happened to her. Well she drank some and I went into the computer room which was right next to the bathroom. About ten minutes later she ran into the bathroom and started making sounds like she was V*ing. I FREAKED OUT and I went towards the stairs to get away from her when she came out of the bathroom laughing. She was just pretending to V*...boy was I pissed the hell off with her. I was shaking and everything...sisters can be so mean!

oh my god! If my brother did that to me I'd be typing this message from a state prison right now.

That is seriously a horrible thing to do.

LoL I love my sister and well she didn't know I had this phobia when she did it. Now that she knows she steers clear of those kinds of jokes but at the time boy was I ever pissed at her!
