Thumbs down okay i have to vent!

i should be in the xmas spirit but im not at all. i could care a less what time of year it is. this isn't even about my emet at all, more like constant bad luck in my home. first my 4 year old gets a double ear infection a month ago. then a few weeks later im sick, then my wife. then the 9 year old V everywhere from a SV and makes a huge mess that i had to clean up. few days later the 4 year old gets it, then me 8 days later and i lost 4 pounds because of loss of appetite and D. then i cut my thigh on a box cutter and had to go get a tetanus shot that made me feel like crap for almost 2 weeks.

now my 9 year old has a bad cold and i think my 4 year old is getting too. i swear ive never seen soo much illness run through my home in such a short period of time. it's not just us either, everyone i talk to has been sick numourous times in the past few months. then we started notciing our eyes and throats were buring and we smelled bleach everytime we walked in the home. i suspect this is because i used to much to clean when we were ill and now its affecting us. so i went ahead and am having them come and steam the carpets tomorrow. then all the sudden i started noticing a horrid taste on my tounge and in my mouth. i brushed my teeth and notcied i was spitting out blood and pus and the bad taste is back again. well of course now i have an infected tooth that ill have to have removed with no dental insurance.

i know alot of this is normal stuff that happens but for me it's happening all at once and im fed up. so is my wife. the doctor prescribed me paxil the other day and i haven't even taken it yet because i know this stress will go away once this shit stops happening. i swear it's like were cursed here.

    end rant!

Take the meds. I was on prozac when my hubby was unemployed and I did not freak.

These things come waves. We are battling croup/cold/d... on my end. My son has missed a couple days here and there for 2 weeks. My hubby had to get dental work done when we had no dental insurance. The dentist put us on a payment plan.

Try to look at the bright side. Try to think of something positive and to laugh about. You can either cry or laugh sometimes. Laughing is so much more fun. It will get better soon. Sometimes you just have to believe.

As soon as you feel up to it, maybe try taking your frustrations out in the gym, with a punching bag, or with a pillow. Sometimes we just need a release. Life is tough right now.

I get it! Seems like things come all at once! The gym is my sanity-- I'm a woman, but I lift like a man to relieve some of my frustrations. I think I've been feeling worse this week because we have a terrible flu outbreak in my area, so I've been too afraid to go to the gym-- all my frustrations are bottling up. I don't like the Christmas season either, mainly because all of the sickness. I just do what I can to get through... Was walking through Target a few weeks ago and my tooth literally started crumbling! disgusting! went to dentist & he said i have to have a root canal. This is bad, but im kind of ignoring it til after the holidays. we have health insurance BUT no mental health insurance, which is what i need . And I agree with Cynna-- I can either laugh or cry about it & I'm tired of crying!! We'll get through!!

So sorry this has been happening lately. I really feel so sorry for you. I think sometimes things just seem to get worse all the time, and then over time, it passes and life gets back to normal. You're just having a really rough patch, and I know it's awful, but try to hang in there and know that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Sometimes things feel like they are going from bad to worse and nothing will ever change and you'll be stuck in a rut forever, but that will change. It sounds like there is a lot of stress going on not only with you but everyone around you. Maybe you should give yourself a break. You could get the kids and your wife in the car and go for a picnic somewhere on the weekend, or go out for dinner with your wife if you feel comfortable to do so. Anyway, just some suggestions to get you out of the house and do something nice for yourself. You deserve it. You're very brave, I commend you on everything you've had to go through. If you can find some escape in something, then do that... maybe reading is a good escape for you? Or going for a bike ride? Just try to get your head out of the bad space it's in at the moment. Things will get better. Hope you're okay and your kids and wife are doing well.

Sorry things have been going so wrong. For some reason, life seems to test people by having everything happen at once, once in a while. At least you can tell yourself it's bound to get get better after that and at least the kids should be immune to the bugs going around for a while! And I have to agree with stopthissong, it wouldn't hurt to try and schedule a break if you can. Just try to find some time for yourself to relax and recharge your batteries. Hope everything gets better soon, take care!
