Can my purse make me sick?

My purse accidentally brushed across my lips today and my mouth was open so it probably hit my tongue too. It was the bottom of my purse the most germy surface in all the world. It had been on the floor at the hair salon early in the day and in the cart at Walmart and a month ago it was in the floor of a bathroom at a rest stop because they don't have hooks due to thefts. I am a nervous wreck about whether or not i will throw up because of this. I hate being worried about something so stupid that nobody else would give a second thought. I can't stop thinking about it.

I doubt this will make you sick. Unless you sat your purse directly down in v, I think you're going to be just fine. I know it doesn't seem like the most sanitary thing to happen, but you'll be alright.

Well, considering the number of people who touch things like that and put their hands in their mouth and who don't get sick, I'd say the chances are super slim. It's gross, but probably no risk of getting sick from it.

You will be a-ok! I do stuff like that at work all of the time (I'm a janitor ) and I get nervous about it but then I'm always fine. It isn't enough and is too quick to cause any harm.

All depends what was on the floor, the amount of germs that are on floors, you're know within the next few days,

Well it's now Wednesday and this happened Friday so i'm hoping i'm in the clear. I'm worried still about being sick just because i worry about it daily obviously. Such a horrible phobia.

I did not answer your post since I did not want to worry you. Yes. There are all sorts of stuff on bathroom floors and everywhere else you sit your purse. You should try to clean it periodically if you can. It just goes to show you that you do not get infected with every germ you are potentially exposed to. Sometimes our bodies fights it off. Sometimes you just get lucky and somehow do not get exposed. I hate to think what germs are on my purse. I try not to think about germs. If I let myself think of everything out there I would loose it.

Glad you did not have any ill effects from it.
