Help...what do you think this is?

I'm home alone and I'm studying for finals, and randomly i'll get this panging on my upper chest, right between my boobs (sorry). I don't think it's my heart or anything...could it be heartburn? I'm jsut a little worried...i'm studying for finals and it's been going on for about 20 minutes now. Help!

It probably is heartburn. Try taking some Tums or Zantac or something. I found that eating popsicles helps sometimes too. I'm sure it's not your heart or anything serious. I get that all the time and Zantac works wonders to make it go away!

Is it a sharp, but aching pain? Does it feel like it is hard to take a deep breath? I noticed that I started getting pains like that when I would be stressed out. How are you now? Did the pain eventually go away? Sometimes mine will last even a week, so don't panic if they continue, but don't be stubborn like me and go to the doctor if they continue.

Thanks for replying you guys. Um...It got intenser as the night wore on, i lasted for about two hours, but I dont think anyone had replied yet, so i didn't see your messages, but they helped ease my mind later. Anyway, it did hurt when I took a deep breath, it hurtso badly that I was on the verge of calling 911 but first I called my friend Ashley whose mom is a nurse, and she told me that it sounded like heart palpitations which come with stress. It's just when your heart starts beating really fast, and that makes it hurt. She told me to lie down and drinkk and stuff, and i did, and it finally stopped. It was just scary to be alone while it was happening, I guess. But it's over now. Off to take my history final now...I'm so not ready. But thanks for replying! Certainly eases my mind that it could ave been a combination of the two.

My husband used to get those pains when he got stressed. It scared me so much, but he went to the doctor and they ran a million tests and never found anything. They went on like that for a while, but now he has it happen maybe once or twice a year. They don't seem like a lot of fun!
