Did anyone hear about the 4 year old boy that died after riding the Mission: Space ride at Disney World? He apparently passed out on the ride and could not be revived.
It said that the ride was so intense that motion sickness bags were placed on the ride since so many people have gotten sick. I tried to do some more research on the ride and read various comments about it. Some people said that it was extremely intense and others said it wasn't that bad. A girl I work with just returned from Disney and she rode it twice. She is not prone to motion sickness but she said that she felt very nauseated after riding it, although she never *v*. Her 10 year old son loved it.
I was at Disney last in 2002 so it was not open then. I was just wondering if anyone had riden this particular ride or know anyone who has. I think it was such a tragedy that this child died and if the ride is that bad then maybe it should be closed.
Just the thoughts of the motion sickness bags make me want to shudder...
