Eat. If you are going to v.. you will do it regardless if you have eaten or not. Not eating will weaken your immune system.

Read the other thread on Noro. The numbers are not as bad as you think. See a bit of reality on the noro stats in the UK on this forum.

TURN OFF THE NEWS, RELAX, BREATHE, LIVE YOUR LIFE, WASH HANDS LIKE NORMAL. When you mind starts running in circles, you need to stop the circling. You can do this by deep breathing exercises, meditation, distracting your mind. Try watching a comedy, listening to music, reading a book, exercising, etc.

I think those that get the norovirus are those that don't practice good hygiene (this includes kids because, well, they're kids and they don't necessarily know better or listen). You can't be 100% preventative, but washing your hands before eating and not putting things in your mouth are the closest you can come to preventing it.

thankyou to everyone who replied, it helps a lot. i am still worrying now and again but i'm trying to ignore the news as much as possible. i'm not at work or school or anything so i hope that lowers my chances of getting it... i get so angry when they talk about noro on the news, they should realise that there are people who have emet, seeing as though it is one of the most common phobias in the uk. i think they just like to scare people!
