    Default Hrrrmmmm. Coffee-related question. :P

My stomach has been weird for the last hour or so and I had sort of a loose/soft BM (tmi as always sorry, but it wasn't d*) but now feel jittery and hungry.

I woke up late and had my usual small breakfast of toast w/ peanut butter, an orange and a cup of coffee... but this weird feeling is becoming more common and I'm wondering if it's the coffee. I haven't had lunch yet, since I ate this other food just a few hours ago.

Common sense will tell me that it's the very low-cal, small breakfast to blame for the hunger, but does coffee upset anyone else's stomach and overstimulate your nerves ever? To give a strange, jittery feeling? I drink it instead of soda now because I feel like it's obviously healthier and gives a better buzz, and I have some caffienated teas I could try instead.

I just wonder if it's a bad choice with how little I eat.. seemingly affecting my stomach and also making me nervous and shaky. And of course I'm emet, so I'm also hoping this is all related to my food/beverage choices this morning and not a virus, hahaaha.

Point of all this babble: Should I just stop drinking it if it has this effect?

Well, I'm probably not a good measuring stick because I drink at least 3 cups of coffee a day. It doesn't make me jittery at all, but then if you took my blood, it would consist mostly of red bull and coffee
Coffee is definitely a stimulant and can give someone loose BMs and upset stomach especially if they aren't used to drinking it much.
It might not be a bad idea to switch out your coffee for a milder tea, or even try half-caf and see if that makes a difference.

Yep, caffeine upsets my stomach as does milk, so coffee is an awful choice for me! Sometimes I will have a chai tea latte with soy milk which is marginally better but the caffeine still makes me nauseous and have d*.
PM me for contact info such as skype, email, or facebook. Thanks!

    Thanks for the help!

I'm going to give it a rest for a few days. I'll just drink tea since it doesn't seem to bother me and I've tried to quit soda but maybe one a day isn't the worst thing if I need energy.. it doesn't make me feel sick like coffee seems to on some days. I wish I wasn't so sensitive to it but such is life, I suppose.

Coffee is odd, as sometimes I can drink a whole pot on an empty stomach and be totally fine with no side effects and other times ill have one cup with a full meal and it makes me feel like I'm about to crawl out of my skin! I usually don't have any issues at all with it, I have it every day. Sometimes it's just like a mild nausea and jittery feeling if I have had too much caffeine, like if I have my coffee and a big iced tea or something.
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. -Isaiah 41:10
