Try the NuvaRing. Everything is delivered locally, so less hormone processes through your whole body. I have a little trouble with my liver, so that's why I'm on it. The only tummy side effect I had was being RAVENOUS, and I gained a few pounds. That was better this month (#3), though.

My suggestion would be going on the lowest dose of birth control maybe and then keep building up the dosage after a while. I've been on birth control since I was in 7th grade (I'm now 20 years old) due to problems with my period and I never experienced n or v from birth control. Just don't worry too much about the "possible side effects" either. That will make you feel like you're n.

Well...my response isn't on the poll, which is that I wasn't worried, have been taking them and haven't had any nausea or v* side effects! I would suggest trying another kind of birth control pill. The first kind I tried gave me awful side effects, not nausea and v* but other ones like weight gain and extreme mood swings. About 2 years ago I started taking another one and I talked to my doctor about it, so she gave me one that has a very low dose of estrogen and progesterone and thus causes less side effects. I honestly don't really have any from this bc. Talk to your doctor about your worries! She will help advise you to the best solution.
PM me for contact info such as skype, email, or facebook. Thanks!

i took BC (cerazette) for 2 years and it took that long to realise that it caused a bit of an emotional storm and brought on a lot of anxiety.
that's what i'm working on anyway - and the anxiety brought on the n* not the bc for me.
i still haven't had a period yet but think my mood is levelling with less anxiety on a day-to-day basis.

I choose to get 2 periods a year. The first night I start the pills up again, I get *N at night and almost get sick..I get sweaty chills and feel horrible. Then the next morning still feel kind of strange. I switched to Lo Estin.....its lower estrogen. I haven't gone off of them to have a period yet though so idk if it would help at all. That's why I try not to have too many periods.....

It really wasn't even something I thought about when I started going on the pill. I must have been 17, so about a year ago now. I remember reading the pamphlet and it saying n* but at the time I really didn't care because my Doctor explained that they have to list a huge amount of side effects just so that nobody sue's them or whatever. I'm on the pill for hormonal acne, when I started going on the pill all I wanted was for my skin to clear up so I instantly took it, no worries about n* although I think now I'd be more cautious.

Im on Aviane and every time i start a new month (the first week after my period) i feel nauseous every morning for about an hour kinda like morning sickness. So i think its pretty normal, unless its making you feel dreadfully ill.
