I just posted on sparky's thread on the catastrophic thinking pattern about a book that's helped a lot in dealing with the phobia.
Everyone go buy a copy of Freedom From Fear by Dr. Howard Liebgold. (!)
It's a really helpful and encouraging book written by a doctor who had panic attacks himself, for over 30 years- and beat them. Although the book doesn't focus specifically on emetophobia, it focusses on phobias/OCD in general and it's really really helpful. I'm not one to promote other people's business, usually, but honestly, if you go pick up this book I almost promise that it will help. It gave me so much encouragement, I can't even say it enough. It's not expensive, so everyone please do yourselves the favour!
For those of you who live in the California area, the doctor who wrote the book holds courses for dealing with phobias. His course is called "Phobease" and he's dubbed "Dr. Fear". So although I haven't been to the courses, maybe it's worth it to look in to those? I think the guys a bit eccentric, but it could work.
Let me know if you get the chance to pick it up, everyone! I want to find out if it helps anyone else as much as it helped me.
