I have gotten my period at least 10 days early for the past 2 months now. Has this ever happened to anyone else?? There is no way I am pregnant since my boyfriend is fixed, I don't know what else it could be. I have gained about 10lbs within the past 2 months, but I am not sure if that would make it come early. This period right now is really bad too. I have the worst cramps, and I have had diarrhea for 2 days now. It's never this bad. It is starting to make me worry that I caught a sv, but I know better... but what if I did?? I havent really ate since this morning cause I am worried. What do you guys think??? Need some advice!!

Michele, you don't have a sv. I was like that for about 6 months, it was horrible. The doctor did some blood tests on me to see how my hormones are doing. He suggested for me to go in the pill to regulatemy periodsbut I said no since I am over 35 and am a smoker. If you are really concerned about it see your doctor, everyone is different so what is normal to me may not be normal for you. If you want, see how next month is and if its still the same than see your doctor. Last month I had a scare, I wont go into details cause it is gross, but this month I am fine.

Maybe your hormones are just out of wack. I think you should make an appt. with your gynecologist and make sure they are aware of the problem. Are you stressed out???

I have virtually no stress in my life right now. I have been like clockwork with my period every 28 days, even when I was really thin. I do have a job interview tomorrow, so I'm wodering if that is why I have had constant diarrhea. It just won't go away, its never been this bad, and now I am making myself feel nausous. I don't no what is going on. I was on the pill along time ago, and it always made me feel sick so I went off it about 4 years ago, plus I'm a smoker. I guess I will just wait until next month. I just pray its not a sv (I know its probably not) but I can't help thinking that!

Your period and stress are definitely causing the d*. When I have really heavy periods (with LOTS of cramps) I get d* too. For me, the d* sometimes even starts before my period. I always get worried and ask my husband if it's a sv and he always reminds me that it happens every month. Try not to worry that you have a sv - that will just make it worse. I also think you should talk to your doctor. Your hormones are probably a little out of whack. I have an odd question - do you take a lot of ibuprofin? My mom used to take it like candy when she was doing some pretty tough work and got backaches all the time. Because it thins her blood she got massive periods - where she had to change her "stuff" every 20 minutes or so because it was so bad. Her doctor put her on the pill even though my dad was fixed and it pretty much cured the problem. This is pretty extreme, but I had never heard of it happening before so I was just wondering if there really is a connection.

    Hi Michele

If you are under alot of stress and worried about something, this can affect your period, weight gain can as well.I have gained weight the last few months and I too have horrible cramps and not to be gross but passing things that are very big.I get these cramps in my abdomen and then I get pain at the top of my legs.Mine have been so heavyI go through 5-6 overnites a day.

If you are worried go see a gyno, its probably stress related,or if you are taking a new medication, depending on what it is, can also create a problem

Take care and I hope you feel better soon.

Mitch, i often experience diarreah during the time before my period..i am also guilty of pigging out throughout the month, and combined with hormones, it leads to sometimes unusual period patterns.
However, don't panic! as there is no waay you could have a stomach virus, but please ensure that you eat a) for energy and b) to lessen the chances of your diarreah becoming any more uncomfortable!
i often experience diarreah on at least one occasion during the month

Usually when I get my period I get Diarreha but if that's not normal for you then maybe you should talk to your doctor. Maybe you are just stressed out, that could be it too. I hope you feel better.

Well, I have had my period for 3 days now, and I STILL have diarrhea. I never have it this long. Its usually the first day or two. It a feeling that I am going to have it all the time, but without actually having it cause there is nothing left in my guts!! And my boyfriend had diarrhea yesterday, but he said it's cause he ate a large bag of carrots, I don't know what to believe anymore!! Is it a sv now?

I really don't think it's a sv. Some months are just worse than others. I wish I could complain about my period too, but I am still waiting for it to start. I am now 2 or 3 days late, but I just got off the pill so I don't know if my body is just adjusting? I am wondering if maybe I am pregnant already? We were planning on trying in a couple of months, but maybe I already am? I really don't know what to do. I don't want to go buy any tests just yet, do you think I should?

If I was late, I would be to excited not to go buy a test, why not it doesn't hurt not to at least see. I hope you are! Wouldn't it be great if you were, and you go pregnant on the first try!!! Good luck!! I say go out and buy one.

My husband is being so funny about it all. First of all he is complaining that he doesn't want it to happen on the first try. He said he wanted more practice. Then he keeps telling me that 3 days isn't that late - especially if I just came off the pill. How does he know? Who is the woman here!

Hi is probably as excited as he is scared. 3 days is late (I wish I was 3 days late and not 10 days early!). I would just buy one anyway. They ususlly come in 2 packs, so if it comes up negative you have another one for a later date. Good luck to you, I hope you get the outcome you are looking for. What is the outcome your looking for?

Well, we are wanting to try and get pregnant, but my doctor said to wait a few months. The ideal time to have the baby would be May or June (I want to take the summer off) so in that case we really should wait a few more months. Because of that, I honestly don't realy care what the outcome is. If I am not pregnant that is fine because I would rather wait a while, but if I am that is fine too. Sometimes you just have to take it as it comes. But since I just got off the pill, I really don't know if I would still be regular or not. Maybe I am just late because of that? I have felt kind of crampy the last few days, but I'm not really even sure if it was period cramps or IBS or what exactly. If I was pregnant now, would it definitely show up on the test at this point?

    Hi Mitch,

I doubt its the stomache flu too.It could be nerves/stress/ anxiety.

Try some of those immodium AD tablets, they work wonders, also you should try to drink some gator ade or something if you have had diarrhea this long. You dont want to let yourself get dehydrated!

I hope you feel better soon!
