OT- poem about our fear.
I was in a particularly creative mood this morning and decided to write.
This is what I got. Hope you enjoy it!
Outside your doors,
Nothing is safe,
Don’t touch it at all,
All you do is just,
Panic, wash, repeat.
Who touched it before you,
Were they sick,
Were their hands clean,
You’ll never know so,
Panic, wash, repeat.
Did your phone touch the table,
Or your hand to your face,
Germs live everywhere,
Now your head spins and you,
Panic, wash, repeat.
You run to your room,
Turn out all the lights,
Your stomach hurts,
You start to cry then,
Panic, wash, repeat.
Your belly gurgles,
Mind stricken in fear,
Curled into a ball,
Heart pounding as you,
Panic, wash, repeat.
Chest pains start,
You fear it’s really here,
Your throat tingles now,
Brain exhausted in worry while you,
Panic, wash, repeat.
Pressure rises to your mouth,
The worst has come,
You hug to the trash can,
Tears well up before you,
Panic, wash, repeat.
Lips part in pure terror,
Eyes clenched closed,
A puff of gas escapes your throat,
You sigh in relief before you,
Panic, wash, repeat.
Eyes burn from not sleeping,
Your heart slows down,
Anxiety is has passed,
Just one more for the night,
Panic, wash, repeat.
2am has passed,
Mentally exhausted,
Survival of another night,
24 hours of an Emetophobe.
keep a cool head, and breathe easy, my friend
