Hello Sorry i don't post here much now, but it hought i'd just come on to say that i'm fineand emetohpobia is no longer a problem.... i hope!

    **********Graphic***********(ish!)

One major incident i had was when i went swimming, don;t worry i wasn't sick in the pool, it was before i went in.... in the toilets! I wasn't completely sick, just a bit... i really don't know what it was, i felt all shakey though. But my kind bf got ready and went out to buy some water for me i felt okish after that, i still went swimming but i was a bit worried!

And aslo, this year i've been feeling very sick, i don't know what it is. I have quite a lot of phlem that won't come up, and sometimes i gag, and think i need to be sick! And randomly, i was looking on an NHS site about smoking.... and it says that PASSIVE smokers can get headaches, nausea, sore throats, etc. And my bf smokes..... i've tried to make him quite but he jsut wont listen When i told him i thought it was his smoking that made me feel sick and have headaches, he thought i was jsut saying it to make him quit!!!

Sorry this is quite a long post, but i just want to add one more thing. I am scared of travelling now, well on buses or trains! And yes i think it is because im scared of being/feeling sick.I used to be ok, i could go on busses for over an hour etc. but now i can't. the most i can(or have to!) travel is half an hour on a bus.

I still chew a lot of chewing gum too, it'sa nervous habit which i just can't stop!!!

Thanks for reading this if you did, and itsnice to be on here again i'll keep popping back now and again hopefully!

    Hi Louise! =]

That's good that you handled yourself good at the pool. I admire that a lot.

Erm. I'm really not sure what to say about your boyfriend but maybe sitting him down and making him take you seriously about that maybe the smoke is making you feel sick. Unless you've done that already.. ^^

Oh..traveling..I'm scared of it as well. I dont go places much without my parents driving me anymore. But even if you're scared. An hour is much more than I can handle. Dont worry so much. (Easier said than done right?)

travelling has always been an issue for me too...

good to hear from you btw Louise =) im glad that emetophobia doesnt seem to be much of a problem anymore to you.

when it comes to travelling i suppose u've just got to MAKE urself travel so that u don't go around a vicious circle.. avoiding travelling, making ur anxiety worse, so avoiding travelling more e..t.c which is the cycle i fell into immediately when i was 11.

i know it's not easy - but i don't want to see ur life being restricted by ur fear of travelling. u deserve more than that.

    take care,

yeah i find it almost impossible to travel now. There always seems to be wierd people that travel whenever I do!! Like one time there was this man who made a terrible noise every time he breathed , and one guy who wa**ed all the way to the city centre (yes, my friends saw too im not making it up). Also, I always seem to sit next to someone who stinks of alcohol-so I imediately think of s* through alcohol!

Anyway, I am going on holiday in a few weeks and I have made my parents book us on the train. Thats the train all the way to the south of france! This is because the last time I went on a plane nobody was sick but people looked ill and kept holding bags up to their faces!

I hope I will be ok though-Im absolutely petrified that I cant get off if there is a problem etc. But Im seeing an EFT specialist soon and I have my fingers crossed .

i'm glad i'm not alone with this fear!!

The thing is, my bf is the same, he HATES travelling, even more than me! But he's not scared of being sick..... i'm not sure why he's scared, he says he always need the loo when he travels He used to be agraphobic, he never left the house at one point. It makes seeing each other a bit harder.... we live a half hour bus journey away(im fine with that, going on the bus, but he tries to avoid it!) But he is a VERY anxious person, he worries far too much, so whenever we are meeting up, he's always late, as he misses busses because of being at the toilet etc.

But i do feel sorry for him, he can't help it =( It's deffinatly a change from being the one always worrying though! at least we sort of know what each other is going through wow ive just realised how glad i am to have him..... even thuogh he does smoke and is always late, and is lazy and blah blah.... haha! he's lovely really, he cares so much about me

haha i'll stopnow..... im going off topic!!

aww Louise that sounds great. are u still around MSN ever?? we'll have to chat if u are!!!

i too have been blessed with a lovely guy in my life too =P must be the summer for it eh lol.

*slightly embarassing but* what ur boyfriend is describing, is the same problem i have. it's what my psychiatrist classes under my list of "social phobias" lol. i'm a nutter i reckon.

anyway, tell him - he's not the only one!! lol i know LOTS of people like him.. i go to a support gp .. similar to this one for it.

ANYWAY lol. as i said before, great to hear from you. i'm so pleased to hear u so upbeat and what-not.

    tke care
