I'm afraid to go off the pill for that reason. I used to get so sick when I was a teenager before I went on the pill.... I'd get the bad guts, horrific cramps, feel like I was going to faint, super heavy bleeding. Finally my mom took me to the dr. and she put me on the pill, and I've been on it for about 12 years. I really don't think I could ever go off... this sort of period crap is hereditary for me.... my mom and her mom went through hell with it.
It's ok if you need to go home/stay home from it. There probably isn't a woman alive who hasn't been hindered by it at one time. I know what helped me back then was heat on my belly and massaging my abdomen. Exercise is a great idea, although it's really hard to even do that when you feel like you do. I used to get a prescription from my dr. for pain and she would give me Toradol. It really knocked it out, so don't be afraid to ask for something a little stronger than midol. I don't know if that would help with all the other symptoms though.
Hope you feel better!
In memory of the sweetest german shepherd I ever had the pleasure of knowing. I love you, Duncan. 3/12/02 - 12/19/11
