They did an entire hour about foodbourne illnesses. The statistic
that was quoted that 1 in 4 people suffer from food poisoning a year in
the US. Supposedly according to the show's statisitics, 82% of
the family restaurant's that were used in the study had critical
violations, meaning those that could cause general food poisoning,
salmonella or e-coli. It all stemmed back to hand washing as the
#1 offense in causing foodbourne illness. It was quite
fascinating and more than very scary. They also gave tips on
keeping food clean in your own kitchen as well as how not to spread
    germs in your kitchen.

Hmm--I didn't see that but wished I would have. I have heard that many cases of *v* and *d* that are blamed on viruses are in fact food borne illnesses.

I already have problems eating out and now this is going to effect me. I guess I'll just stick to the resturants I already eat at. I've never gotten sick at any of the resturants that I frequent regularly. 1 in 4 people really? That's scary! I don't know if I ever want to eat out again!
