    Default School work...

lately, since I started tapering off my meds I've been really unable to focus on school. My grades have dropped alot and when I'm in class I just can't focus to save my life! Lately everything's been so screwed up with me, AND the rest of my family. It just feels like schoolwork is one of the least important things in my life right now. when I get better I'll get my grades back up, I have plenty of time. But this one teacher just will not get of my back! shes driving me insane! Now shes saying if I don't do my work I'll get lunch detention. When I could be here on the school computer dealing with my problems instead!

School is very important to your future. If it takes meds to help you deal with your family, school and emet, then maybe it would be a good idea to go back on them. I know you want to wean yourself off of them, but maybe now is not the best time. Maybe this summer when you have nothing going on you can try again. It doesn't make you a failure if you take your meds when they really help you.

I know how hard it is! Growing up I suffered severe OCD and depression. I was always on different meds, trying for the right combination. Top it off with family problems. I had a heck of a time in school, try your best. When I was young I never realized how important my education was. I'm 26 now and trying to get through college. It's still a struggle for me but its for the best.

I agree with grace, maybe try to come off your meds during a school vacation or break.
