Default Can anyone help me with something off topic? May be triggering for miscarriages.

I have a new coworker who has been working with me for about three weeks. She is so sweet and lovely and just wonderful in every way. I walked in on her in her office with her head on her desk crying. She immediately stopped when I came in and asked her if she was okay and said, "Please don't tell anyone." I asked her if she needed anything and she confided in me that she had a miscarriage a month ago and she's extremely anemic and she lost a lot of blood and it still suffering a lot of feeling drained, dizziness, wooziness, etc. I really want to do something for her to show her that I care, but I have no ideas on anything. Anyone want to brainstorm with me?

I have had miscarriages myself. I don't know your friend's religious beliefs, but an angel dedication is always nice.

If you have been there yourself, you can share your story. My coworker just had one too.

Maybe a small gift basket of candles, body lotion etc to pamper herself. Included a nice card of thinking of you or sympathy.

Some people want to forget about it and never mention it again. Some people like myself have a Christmas ornament on their tree in remembrance. I still think about Taylor. (Peanut's twin died when I was seven weeks pregnant with Peanut.)

I had 8 miscarriages. What is most important is that you are just there for her to listen and validating her baby's existence is good too...like some kind of ornament, little knick knack, etc. Acknowlegdging the reality helps because you don't have the visibility of that child. I'm so sorry to hear of her loss. She could still have pregnancy hormones in her making her feel bad too.
