I would like to first of all thank all the welcomes i have gotten..i do have a question for all the members..speaking from personal experience my fear is the time when i wonder if i will be sick and when it will happen..once it happens i am pretty much ok..its the not knowing that triggers my fear..are any of you like that?..i also read that most people with this phobia arent actually sick they manage to avoid any situation that may cause it..does this mean i do not suffer from it?..it said the average person is sick once or twice a year and that people who suffer from emetophobia are rarely sick..maybe once every several years. i am not that lucky..im thinking maybe these are people who dont have kids..unlike me..lol. What do you all think?..Last but not least i would like to once again thank you all for allowing me to join such a wonderful site for myself knowing there are plenty of others just like me makes me feel like i have just a bit more control over my fear..before knowing i felt alone and out of control..thank you

I havent been sick for 9 years. SO i cant really remember how it feels to be sick. So i think it might be fear of the unknown. Whenever i feel nauseas i control the feeling of wanting to V* although sometimes it can take hours.

I wish i could just v* and get it over with, but i cant.

I havent really answered your question. I dont have kids, but i am around them a lot and have every chance to pick up any bugs or SV* that they may have. I suppose 9 years of controlling the need to v* has made it almost impossible now.

This is the first time for a whole year she hasnt had the sv, so i've been around hera lot. Um..I fear the actual experience. But then again, I dont remember what its like either.. ^^.. *knock on wood*

Welcome to the site! i'd like to believe my phobia
helps me from avoiding the deed but my husband and I have been together
for twelve years married for four and he hasn't gotten sick beside from
drinking , which i can't catch that , and he's not afraid of
anything. He ate a chicken sandwhich, frozen in the middle,
from mcdonalds and didn't even fart out of tune! I worry about
when it will happen, how many times it will happen and where will i be
but I try not to think about it .</font>

I haven't been sick in 7 years *Knock on wood* I don't even remember what it was like. I actually haven't been REALLY sick in probably 9 or 10 years. 7 years ago I V*ed once and that was it. When I was like 9 or 10 I had a REALLY BAD stomach Virus where I couldn't stop V*ing. THat was the last time I was truely sick. When I read that people get sick like once or twice a year it scares me...and when I read that people have gotten sick after several years it scares me because I think "what if my time is coming?"
