Default Could I catch what my bf had?

I'm glad I found this site. I literally have such a phobia. I can't even think about it. But my question is...
Last saturday night my boyfriend had norovirus. He said he regained his strength and felt better on Tuesday. We were together last night til this morning, is it possible I could get what he had?? I'm worried.

No he said he was better. But IDK if he is still contagious. We spent the night together.

well you can only catch noro if you get any v* or d* particles in your mouth pretty much (sorry that sounds super disgusting), so did he do a good job cleaning up after himself? especially the bathroom and wherever he got sick... I'd say you are more likey to be fine, then catch it from him since he's feeling better.

We were actually staying in a hotel room for the night. He hasn't been sick since like Sat-Mon I'm guessing since he started feeling better on Tuesday. If he hasn't v* since then, do I have a good chance of not getting it? I didn't ask if he had d* ha, I didn't want him to think I'm a crazy person. Although he did go to the bathroom this morning and then got back into bed with me. Idk what he did in there though. He seemed fine though. So I'm just confused and overthinking a lot. I really just don't want to get sick..

Thanks for the response. But since I am so worried/overthinking things now I'm thinking that after he used the bathroom I only heard the sink water on for like a few seconds. Then he got back into bed with me and...well yeah. Bah

And just as a precaution, I've read that drinking a couple glasses of grape juice a day (it has to be 100% grape juice, preferably Welch's brand) , apparently raises the ph levels in your intestines enough that it makes an uncomfortable environment for the noro virus to do its thing. So maybe it will help put your mind at ease if you try that. A friend and I were exposed to a little girl with noro (she was experiencing symptoms) last month and we both started drinking our grape juice and neither of us got sick. Also maybe take some vitamin C, eat some garlic and hot sauce for added measures. I really don't think its totally necessary you do this, but it definitely won't hurt

The best thing you can do is just try to stay calm, and not let your anxiety take control. I doubt he would be able to partake in anytime bedtime activities with you if he had been ill I truly think you will be ok! I know exactly how you're feeling right now, the anxiety and panic can actually make you feel worse than if you actually were sick. Just take a deep breath girl! You'll be alright!

Thank you, I appreciate it. I definitely make myself so much more worried than I should be, but when you have a true phobia of something, you just can't help it. I cannot wait for the warm weather to come so I can stop worrying constantly!! It's like I can't enjoy anything because I'm always like, I could catch this anytime now... Ya know?

Most welcome! It's awful having this phobia have so much control over us. I used to be so much worse than I am now.. I used to be afraid of all things v*. Like even if my stomach gurgled a little bit I'd freak out, and would not eat at times for fear of v*ing it up. It was awful! But miraculously I've managed to take more control. But I still freak out during sv season... which is how I discovered this site last month lol It definitely helps to talk with someone who understands.

I'm just going with the flow here from what I see others posting, but why are we using v* and d* etc...is it because we all hate it so much we don't even want to spell it out/see it on the screen?

Yes I think so.. I honestly don't mind seeing the words spelled out, but I guess it bothers others so I use the abbreviations so I don't offend anyone.
