I dont know what is going on with me this morning. My stomach just hurts. I dont really feel sick or anything, I just hurt. The pain is like all around the top of my stomach and in my back, it kinda feels like what a gallbladder attack would feel like, only I dont have a gallbladder anymore to be giving me an attack. I've had a lot of heartburn here lately, I dont know if that has anything to do with it or not.
I have had stomach pains like this off and on since high school, it just seems to be happening more here lately. It always seems to happen in the morning, it will either wake me up, or start shortly after I get up.

Just try to relax. Maybe there is an air bubble that is stuck or something. Give it a while and see how the day progresses. I would definitely not get worried, though. It doesn't sound like anything serious. Our tummies are strange and sometimes feel weird for no reason at all.

I get pains like that too. I really don't know the answer - for me the only way to get rid of them is a combination of painkillers, a hot water bottle (yes even in this heat) and sleep. I think they are usually caused by stress or overtiredness (for me at least)

    Hey,

It is possible to still get pain in your gallbladder area, even if you've had it removed. Sometimes they dont' take out the bile duct along with the gallbladder, and it can cause some problems later on, and I think that I've heard that the gallbladder can regrow! So, if you're not feeling better soon, I would talk to you doctor. I hope you feel better!

Jennyleigh--do you think it is possible you could have an ulcer? It can cause heartburn type pain and it often occurs in the morning. Your doctor can do a simple blood test for H.Pylori to rule it out. Hope you feel better soon!

How are you feeling now?? Sounds to me like GERD... the thing about you having it radiate to your back sounds like what i have once in a while.

I havent had any more pain since that morning. I was thinking maybe it was an ulcer too. I know that I have a hiatal hernia too, I dont know if that could have anything to do with the stomach pain. When I have the pain, it only last for little bit, usually no longer than 30 mins or so. I have my yearly check up on Mon, so I will tell my doctor about this.

    Thank you everyone!!!!
