My 6 year old woke up with massive D. Don't think it is SV, he had been at grandma's since Saturday morning and they don't go anywhere. He ate a lot of watermelon, we will call her in the morning to get more info.

That could be a possibility I'd imagine? Just make sure he keeps hydrated!
I wanna feel the change consume me,
Feel the outside turning in.
I wanna feel the metamorphosis and
Cleansing I've endured within
My shadow

Yes! That happens to me EVERY time I eat a lot of watermelon!
Definitely. It's an old farm legend.
He is just SO bad, is it possible? What else could cause severe D* without being exposed to a SV* in the last 3 days (since coming home from school Friday he hasn't been anywhere public). He had SV* at the end of January. I am eager to hear from Grandma what all they did and where they went for sure. She always gives them too much junk, which makes me nervous.
My baby has a checkup this morning and i am going to mention it to the doctor, see what he thinks.
I've never eaten enough watermelon to have d for three days, but I have over done it a time or two. It does sound like you need to have a talk with grandma. Some of my inlaws gave my daughter d and v with junk that lasted for three days. Hubby and I were so mad. We never left a child with them again.
I always get diarrhea from watermelon.
Any fruit that you eat to much of can definitely give you diarrhea. Happens to me all the time. But 3 days seems a little long. Definitely talk to the grandma and also see a dr. Dont want the poor guy to get dehydrated... :/
Actually he just got diarrhea this morning, but it was BAD! Frequent and a lot, not "normal" at all (first time was while he was sleeping, yuck). The 3 days I mentioned was that he hasn't been in public to be exposed to a SV (nobody at our house or Grandma's have been sick). Sorry for the confusion! I found out that he had a bunch of large strawberries too, which isn't normal for him either, usually says he doesn't like them. Dr. said it could be an allergy or just the quantity that he ate. Now I am going to have to keep an eye on him with strawberries and watermelon. When he was 3 (after several years of eating PB) he had a lot one day, woke V* the next morning, joint pain and skin rashes the day after that, it was an allergy or sensitivity after eating so much. Kids are going to be the end of me!!
I always get d* from eating watermelon and not even that much! Not sure why but it happens to me!
Update: Last night he called me into his room to tell me his back was itchy. He had a massive rash and hives all over his body! Gave him some benedryl and oatmeal bath and lotion, and today the hives and rash are pretty much gone. Taking him to the doctor's in an hour. Must be an allergic reaction to strawberries or watermelon.Poor boy, nobody every gets allergic to broccoli, do they? It is always the good stuff!
