I am having a slight panic attack right now. Just when I think my emet is getting better, something like this happens. Ok, let me explain what is happening. Just for reference, I am living at home with my parents, and my little sister is living there too. Well, on Saturday my older sister and younger sister went to Canada to a Kid Rock concert, I of course didn't go cause of the drive, and being away from home...Well, I just got off the phone with my older sister (I am currently at my boyfriends) and she said that she is sick. She has a major headache, and a fever of a 102. She proceed to tell me that my little sister was also sick, and that she v* today at work. I was around my little sister all day yesterday. So, I called my mom and asked her what was going on. She said that my younger sister woke up this morining feeling sick to her stomach, and was having hot and cold chills all day, then while at work she v* once. But my mom also told me that she finished her day at work, came home ate dinner than went to school. So as far as I know she is feeling a little better, but she had to go to school cause she had a report due. My older sister said she feels a little sick to her stomach, but she thinks its because she has been crying all day cause her boyfriend broke up with her.

I am just really nervous. I just got done eating a huge steak dinner (which is a major accomplishment), now I am panicing, and I can't calm down. Scott (my boyfriend) is trying his hardest, but my stomach is turning as I am typing this. I know that they say that your not contagious until symptoms show, but I didn't know this morning that she was feeling sick, so I didn't lysol anything. But I do know I will be staying with Scott for the next couple of days.

What are my chances of catching this?? I am really nervous, and I just know that I will not be able to eat for the next couple of days. The incubation is about 48 hours, so tomorrow or by Wed, I should hopefully know if I will catch this virus. I am so nervous!! And to top it off, I was involved in a hit and run accident today. So lady slammed into my car, and took off. But I chased her down, and she was caught by the police, now I am having the worst day!!

Michele I think you will be fine. You weren't in her face, didn't use the same glass or toothbrush. Enjoy the time with your boyfriend.

Wow, such few responses. I was having such a bad panic attack, and I actually felt alone, what's up with that?? Thanks for responding Rhonda, and Mia, I am doing better. My sister only v* once, and she went to work today, and per my mom, she is feeling fine. My other sister, is no longer running a fever, and is going back to work tomorrow. I did eat today, and Scott and I are planning to eat dinner in a few, so, I am feeling a bit better, thanks for asking.

    Mitch,

How are you doing? I would agree with the others and not worry at all about catching it. Something similar happened to me the other day and I am trying also really hard to not let my mind get the best of me. The good thing is (I don't know where you live, I think you told me once, but I cannot recall for sure) that the virus that seems to be going on here is about the same. Fever of about 102. One V* episode and then it's all done. I can usually handle hearing about these kinds of bugs, it's the ones that go on for a week or so or all night long that freak me out most. I can't even imagine!!!

Anyway.. I hope you are having a great day.

You seem to be doing better now. Sorry you were panicking. I would have too. Is your sister a person with a light stomach, like she gets sick easily, the one who v'd I mean? I think if it would have been a sv, it probably would have lingered longer than that, plus they would have had diarhea and v'ing more than your one sister just once. Sounds more like a blah type of sick, rather than sv sick.

And about your hit and run, I'm so proud of you for chasing the woman down and not letting her get away with hitting you. What did she do/say when caught? My brother's girlfriend just had that happen to her, but the woman got away, plus gave Krysta the finger!

I agree too that you will be OK. Even if it was contagious you weren't around but since she did it once and not again and was able to eat dinner and keep it down (or even felt like eating) I would say she's OK and therefore you are too. Glad you are feeling better about it!
