Does anyone know anything about Probiotic Yogurt Drinks? After the previous threads on here about their beneficial qualities I'm tempted to try them, however my brain has serious trouble dealing with the idea of me putting bacteria in my stomach, (good or not it's still bacteria!) good old germophobia. ANyway, I think I'd like to try these kiddie ones we have over here, made by Munch Bunch, but I'm worried about whether they have any negative effects while the body gets used to them. Does anyone know?

they wouldn't be able to sell them if they had negative effects, unless you're allergic to any of the ingredients but i doubt it. unless your lactose intolerant or some thing. i think you should try them, i think they're great. i have the actimel ones.

One thing to remind yourself of yenn is one of the dirtiest human body
parts is the mouth, therefore whenever you swallow anything you're
putting more bacteria in your stomach.

Also you can try to remember that all yogurt is naturally made with
bacteria. There are artifical ways to make it now, but if you check the
label of whatever kind you usually eat and it says "contains active
cultures" it means there's bacteria in it. The difference between the
bacteria in regular yougurt and the probiotic yogurt drinks is I think
that the probiotic drinks have more beneficial bacteria.

The point to remember though is that this particular helpfull bacteria combats all the bad bacteria. I understand the germ thing, but probiotics are excellent for you and will not bother you at all if it's just in the form of a drink even if it's daily.

I have gotten nausiated by doing cleanses where I am taking not only probiotics but also things that make the yukkie stuff die off in your system, but that was after taking lots of the stuff, it wouldn't be from probiotic drinks.
