Default Proud of myself...and a little surprised

My son has been ill. Not sure what's wrong exactly. He has had a fever for over 24 hours, won't eat or drink and is having a lot more dirty diapers than normal. I took him to the doctor this morning since he won't drink and gags when I try to get him to.

The doctor said he had a very red throat and that is was probably pretty sore and that's why he wasn't wanting to eat or drink. However, with the multiple dirty diapers (though they are NOT runny or watery at all and they are small bms) you know what I'm fearing.

Tonight for the umpteenth time, he had another dirty diaper. I am so worn out from planning his party, cleaning, taking care of a sick baby, etc that my hubby said he'd change it. Surprising even myself, I said "No. If he is sick, I want to be the only one exposed." Wow. Did that come out of MY mouth?

I was proud of myself for that. It is a step in the right direction.

That is something to celebrate! You have come a long way if that came out without you even thinking about it. Way to go, and I hope your little guy starts to feel better soon!

Wow that's good that you have stepped uup with this one. Also in cases like this we are better at handling the sanitization and such better....hope he's feelin better...the excessive bms could be from the sore throat.

That's awesome!! And as a mom who has been there, I can tell you that the bms could be from teething or from the fever. Both my kids get the rumblies when they have a fever. Just keep your spirits up and try not to stress (easier said than done, I know....)

Way to go! No step is a small one with this phobia. That's awesome. I second what mamacat said, my daughter always had more diapers when she was teething. Hers were actually d* during that time, I guess because of all the saliva? Anyway, keep it up!
