Suggestions on hand sanitizers?

I know that your typical hand sanitizers do not kill noro. I also know that hand washing with soap and water is best. However, I am always out and about with the kids, so I need suggestions on what type of hand sanitizer to purchase? I've been using a kind that I found at babies r us that is alcohol free, but has benzakonium chloride in it. I read that this kills noro.

Any suggestions?

I think getting sanitizer will make your phobia a little more excessive. You will start to rely on sanitizer, and always need it. personally, I would just keep it at home and use it leisurely - Clean hands naturally with soap and water when you're at home or whenever you can get to a bathroom.

I know a few people who start with sanitizer, than go ahead and get sanitary wipes, and start wiping everything down everywhere they go. Even there own vehicle. Its a downward spiral, but obviously its each to his own...

I've had this phobia since I was 12...for 24 years. I've always used the gel sanitizers. I know now that they don't work since they've come out with the studies on them.

I have kids and after being at the playground or at an amusement park, etc. I want to have a sanitizer that works.

We keep a big bottle of Germx Advanced Foaming Sanitizer in the car. I also found Kandoo Foaming sanitizer in travel size bottles on Amazon, and we keep them in the diaper bag. Both have thw benzalkoniun stuff as the main ingredient.

I use the GermX Advanced Foaming sanitizer--it has the benzalkonium choride which is supposed to kill norovirus. I also have the wipes to use as well.

Where did you all find the germx advanced foaming? I have never seen it.

I always use the germ x wipes. Hand sanitizer doesn't cut it for me, I need to actually wipe my hands.

I love the babies r us kind! Smells so good! I also use the Germ X Advanced foaming kind. I order it from Amazon. And Momma2tworockstars, I feel you on the wipe thing. When I pick my daughter up from preschool, we always use Wet Ones wipes (which I know / have heard doesn't work with noro) THEN the Germ X foam sanitizer. I like the benzalkonium chloride sanitizers better than alcohol ones for kids, anyway-- and they're less drying on my skin

Sdd, the foaming germx advanced is at my walmart also.

I use GermStar Noro - it was designed for use on cruise ships specifically for noro. DOes it work? who knows, but the site has an explanation as to why it kills norovirus. http://www.germstar.com/us/germstar-...germstar-noro/

I went to walmart today and found the germx foaming! Yay! I did not see the wipes...what section are they in? I'm so excited...lol!
