Default SV in daughters daycare classroom

DD (2.5) was exposed to a sv yesterday. I'm in full on panic mode. I'm pumping her full of tummy tuneup and hoping it stays away. After 48 hours, the chance she has it goes way down, right?

    What is tuneup?

Yes, after 48 hours she is probably in the clear.

I know how worrisome that is. My son has had a sv in his daycare 2x this season. Plus, we've had it in our home 3x. He hasn't caught it yet (not noro at least...he did catch rota though).

Tummy tuneup is great I think. I have never used it while my kids were actively v* but have used it for d* and upset tummy. I swear by this stuff, my 6 year old had a sv a month back and the d* would not stop until I gave her some. Anytime I get cramps I take some and feel better within 15 minutes. I think if the tummy tune up does not prevent it then it would at least make it more mild. Sdd it is a high strength probiotic.

I normally only use Culturelle, but have been giving her Tummy Tuneup for the last month or so. She spent most of January and February on antibiotics for a bacterial infection that didn't want to clear up. Culturelle wasn't helping with all those unpleasant side effects, so I switched to TTU. I've upped the dose to 2 capsules a day since we know she was exposed. I'm even dosing DH and myself.

sdd: people swear by TTU as a sv prevention or killer.

I have never heard of tummy tune up!! Please tell us if it seems to work! My DS starts preschool this fall and I'm already worried about the dreaded sv.
I have always heard 48 hours, though in my experience symptoms have usually started around 36...so maybe you can relax soon

Well, the sv hit last night. Refusing to eat and extremely lethargic. v* one time today and then fine. d* is nonstop if she eats anything. Our pediatrician thinks it might be rotovirus, so she will get tested for that tomorrow. On the upside, most adults are immune to rotovirus, so I should be safe, but I'm taking tummy tuneup just to be safe. I'm bleaching and sanitizing like crazy. My hands are raw from the cleaning and handwashing.
