    Default My Moron Teacher

I walked into class this morning, feeling fine, until my teacher says: "Sorry, I was sick all weekend. Nothing serious, just vomiting and diarrhea." He thinks he's funny. For some reason, I was furious. I went to the restroom just to wash my hands and fumed for the rest of the class. You might think I'm being too hard on him. I'm not. He's the kind of teacher that talks about the human centipede, torture by potato peeler, and how glad he is that his grandmother is dead.

That's so not okay! I would be mad too. Just don't touch your face after touching anything he might have touched.

Wow, he has a sick sense of humor. Maybe he likes drama. Wonder why he felt the need to announce his sickness. Elie, I would of responded the same way you did.
Good for you for returning to class.

Yeah...I have a lip picking problem so not touching my mouth is hard. I'm even considering gloves...

He sounds like he has a very dark sense of humour. I feel bad for you that you have to have him as a teacher, but you should be proud of yourself that you still managed to make it through the class even after he had given you a fright. Good for you. Is he aware of your phobia? Because if not then I suppose to someone without emetophobia then the prospect of *D and *V is not actually that serious/big deal when we know that it is.

I would of gone mad if somebody had said that to me! And panicked as well, i probably wouldn't of gone back in the classroom because i would be too scared of catching it off him..

You probably should have told him, or at least told another teacher. I don't think he has a dark sense of humour - non-emetophobes won't find it distressing, only we do. It doesn't make it dark.

I wouldn't exactly understand what your teacher's like. Some of my teachers are quite understanding of my phobia (and other mental conditions), but most of them don't actually know about it, therefore continue to act around me as if I didn't have it.
