Have any of you all taken Cipro before? I was in the ER last night for a UTI/kidney infection and they've given me 5 days of Cipro. The only thing I know about it, is that is was the drug they used when there were anthrax problems. I am wondering if I am nauseous because of the antibiotic or the infection...? Any input nwould be great. Thanks to all who read a/o reply!

I took that once because they thought I had a kidney infection. It turned out it was a cracked rib, but anyways . . . it didn't make me n* at all. I took the Cipro XR which was the extended release and felt fine. It's probably either the infection or your nerves getting to you. I'm sure you will be fine.

I haven't taken it but I know people who have and were fine, no n* or anything. I agree w/ sillygirl that it is probably a combo of anxiety and the infection. I'm sorry you have a UTI, they suck! Hope you feel better soon!

Thanks ladies! I am feeling better. I'm thinking it's just the infection and the fact I went to the ER (shudder). The Cipro hasn't made me n* or anything. It may be the first antibiotic that hasn't! Thanks again!
