How do you comfort yourself? None of the tricks I use are working! Reaally want some ideas please!
I just posted on another thread about my techniques! I hope they help! First, if I am able, I wrap myself up tight in a blanket bc swaddling is a known calming technique. Then while wrapped up, I try to watch something on tv that makes me pay attention. I try to get lost in whatever it is. I also do alternate nostril breathing. Google it, its explained easier then I can try to. (alternate nostril breathing also helps with sleep problems). I also try to visualize my anxiety leaving my body and I pay attention to every muscle starting from my head down to my toes and I picture all the anxiety leaving each area one at a time.
