Hi,

Is there anyone out there who has three or more children? I have two little ones now (2 and a quarter and 13 months) andwe areconsidering having more. I have to get on with it if I am going to have more because of my great age (40 this year). So I am looking for info on what it is like managing more than two kids (I mean I only have two hands so just how do you cross the road etc! - kidding)

    thanks,

    A.

I have three children, their ages are, 10, 5, and 3 1/2. My youngest two are 20 months apart in age. My oldest child had really been a big help to me because of the age difference she has over my little ones. There is really no way to say, do this is this situation, you just kinda have to figure out what is going to work for you and your family. Know what I mean? When mine were younger, I usually did not go anywhere with them by myself, especially when my youngest had outgrown the infant carrier. Atleast when she was still in that, I could tote her in that, hold my middle childs hand, and watch my oldest and instruct her what to do. I know that I probally havent helped much, lol, but I think that you really do just have to access each situation and figure out what is going to work best for you as far as managing more than two children.

I have 3 kids...all I know is that once your oldest is 4 wonders start to happen - like they cross the street without holding your hand, cuz you tell them to stay right beside you. They can tie their shoes, do up their own carseat belts, etc. Not so helpless!

Other than that, once you "graduate" to three, it's just a zoo - lol. I would have had another one, cuz then it just doesn't matter....there's always someone hungry, someone crying, etc. ha ha. I sure enjoy the gang now that they're all grown up and bring home their partners...we really have a housefull around the table!
