I thought i'd NEVER have it! i'm SUPER careful with my food.. as is my mother... but yes.. it happened!

It was meat from the local food store place (therefore i am turning vegetarian!). It was thoroughly cooked, so, we hypothesise that it was an error in the store.. maybe they let it de-thaw and re-froze it again... we don't know.

All i kow is i woke up and was very very close at V*ing. i didn't though.. but it's another time where i know if i wasnt emetophobic i would have done it. don't you jut love times lke that?! =|

I went super super pale... shakey... and my stomach was doing somersaults all day because of it.

Today i'm still finding it hard to eat... but i'm getting there slowly.

But wow -- it shook me up. i yet again was stuck in my bed wishing i could die because i thought i was going to v*. Rational? No. lol.

hope u all are ok. the reason for me posting this? am unsure... just felt lke it! lol

It sounds like you made it through okay! And you still didn't v*! What kind of frozen meat was it? Was it cooked when you bought it or did you cook it at home?

They were beefburgers... my boyfriends favourite... (yes he did get it to - but he has a stronger stomach than me so it wasnt as bad for him).

it was frozen when i bought it. took it home and put it straight in the freezer.. and a few hours later cooked it for the whole length of time stated plus 10 mins more.

So i'm certain it wasnt a fault on our part.

Thats great that you managed to get through it Jen. Events like that always shake me up too. I had a simialar experience last week where I had a cream cake that had been left in a warm car for about half an hour (doh! Shouldv'e known better) and that night I was running to the loo and was very close to v*ing. Nearly a week on I'm still feeling bad and was close to v* this morning because of stomach trouble. Still feeling it now and am terrified. Hope it passes soon. Hope your episode will be over soon and not last as long as mine!

    Take care

Wow, it's funny how we can almost will ourselves not to V....it amazes me. I am glad it didn't happen to youthough. With emet though I think that we have such a strong will...that it happens less to us....thank goodness...it's been 15 yrs for me....knock on wood!!!!!!!!!!!!!!............but it scares me to know that one day I know it will happen again. Well, just thank God you didn't....and even if you did....you know that you would get through it somehow....as bad as it may seem, the lord would not give you something we truely could not handle....don't ya think.....hope you feel better and back to "normal" soon...Kate

Aww, I'm glad you were able to get thru it w/o v*ing but thinking you might was probably almost if not as bad. Anyhow hope you are feeling better now! I agree, a chat w/ the store manager is in order.

my sisters friend who works at the foodhall is going to have a word!

she gave an explanation, the freezr people stock it too high so the meat will obviously defrost as they re not at the right temperature. the supermarket knows this.. but still does it... horrendous oif u ask me!

    Glad you are doing better!

My friend just had food poisoning, and she took some activated charcoal pills at the first sign of nausea and it took care of it, absorbed the toxins from her body. The rest of her family wouldn't take it and they were v'ing for over 24 hours.

They give you those in hospitals if you've taken an overdose or have alcoholic poisoning too
