I'm really freaking out and I'm not sure if I should. My dog has been v* all night - everything she has eaten. After the third time, she shook her head and some of her spit flew in my mouth (I was talking to my husband at the time). Can you catch anything from dogs? Please help me! I am really panicking!!!

I have never seen her this sick before. She has allergies, so she chews on herself a lot. The hair she chews off upsets her stomach a lot and makes her v*. Usually it's just a little bit of bile, but this time it was everything. And she keep hiccuping, and when she starts to hiccup really bad she v*s again. I am so scared. I have heard that you can't catch it from dogs, but when it goes in your mouth???? I am having a massive panic attack . . .

seriously, you cant get sick from your dog. you can get diseases, like
lyme, but only if your dog has a tick on him that jumps onto you. other
than that, dogs eat just about anything so it could be that he ate his
own poop. you never know. silly girl, dont worry. i swear you wont get
    sick!

It was so disgusting! Yesterday my husband and I decided to start actually trying for a baby. Now I am so scared. If I freak out this bad with a dog, what will happen with a baby?

congrats on trying i hope you get preggo!

well, i think that when you have kids your maternal instinct kicks in.
you will be more worried about them than yourself getting sick (i know
i see this as a long shot with me - i feel the same as you) but look at
how many people on here have kids. yea sometimes they freak when their
kids get sick, but get through it. youll get through it!

dont be scared. ive heard MANY toimes that having a baby is one of the
happiest times of your life... (altho i hope i dont experience that yet
    haha)

you feel better about the dog or no? i promise you wont get sick from her

I'm sure you are right, but I can't help but be nervous. She hasn't v*d since thatlast time. She finally just fell asleep. I don't know what her problem was. She had eaten dinner afew hours before, but it all came back. She chews on herself so much - she was actually bleeding on her leg. I'm thinking it might just be from that, or a rawhide bone she had earlier. She hasn't had d*, so I am guessing it is just something she ate. If that's the case, then I really shouldn't worry, but you all know how it goes. . .

I want a baby really bad, but I am so scared. My husband is really good about all of this and I know he will do his best to take care of all v* episodes, but he can't be here all the time.

I was out of town last week and my therapist was gone this week, so I haven't seen her inalmost 3weeks. I can't wait until next week when we can get back to normal with our appointments!

My stomach was already a little upset - I had a huge dinner and desert that wasn't digesting well to begin with (but it sure was good!)

I don't know if they can get sv, but they can get infected with bacteria life E Coli and all of that just like people. But I would think if it was something like that she would have d* too.

I hope I didn't make you panic! Where do you live?

I live in Colorado. Just outside of Denver. I've never been to NY - my husband and I want to go see the city, but haven't had a chance yet!

Sounds good! Although I don't think I would want your winters. They sound pretty harsh sometimes. We get snow and all, but it usually melts by noon and it's so dry here that we hardly ever get that really wet, heavy snow anyway.

Thanks for talking to me tonight! I feel a little better, but unfortunately I know I will end up playing the count down game. I should really go try to get some sleep. I have to get up pretty early for work. I hope you're right!!!

I got about 4 or 5 hours of not very good sleep. I am still kind of freaking out about it all. She didn't v* through the night, but she kept doing her gag-and-swallow thing. This morning she had a little more energy, but she hasn't eaten yet so we will have to see what happens. How in the world am I going to handle kids??!!
