    Angry Jinxed myself again!

Okay, I KNOW that I'm being irrational but the last 3 times I've said "we haven't been sick lately", (trying not to be irrational, proving to myself I won't jinx myself) within hours of saying it (all 3 times) someone in the house had V'd. Superstitious or not, I'm done saying it! I

That happened to me when I was a kid except my mom was the one who said it. And within hours my brother was v in the bed next to me! Needless to say, I ran out of there as fast as I could. She then proceeded to say "we should've knocked on wood" then starting my ritual of knocking on wood whenever someone says that around me.

You know, that happened to us this week! Not with v*, thank goodness, but my mom was saying on either Mon or Tues of last week how my daughter (3.5) never gets sick and how people may think I'm crazy with my hygiene/cleanliness, but that it must work because my daughter has only had a fever twice (once after vaccines) and no antibiotics. On Wed, she started with a horrible cough and it continued with a low grade fever and sneezing /drainage /all over not feeling well until this morning. I'm not going to jinx us anymore either! Really, we probably just notice it when they get sick and recall saying it before. I'm sure there are plenty of times we declare "healthy" and remain that way Not gonna try, though
