I wasdiagnosed with OCD four years ago when my emet took hold of me and I landed in the hospital..my worst O-C behavior right now is praying, mainly not to v*. Is this a common behavior? Does anyone else do this?

Can emetophobia be eliminated from your life 100%, forever? Is it possible? This is my goal but I would like to know whether it is realistic.

PS a post from sage regarding the latteris much appreciated!

Any compulsive behavior is shared by more than just you, don't worry.

Can it be eliminated for life? It must be true that it can be, because it's eliminated from mine. I mean, really. It just gets better and better with each passing month...year, whatever. For me, that is. But it was a long road to get there - a lot of time, committment to tolerating pain and some fear, and a lot of money too. Still is, for ongoing "preventative" therapy! But I find it worth the time and money because this sort of freedom is too wonderful for words. Nobody can put a price on it!

So...yes, there's hope! No limits to the human spirit, either!
