Lately I have been feeling horrible. I was up most of the night with IBS problems. This morning my stomach was making some really weird gurgles and growls. I thought maybe I needed food, but I really didn't feel hungry. I ate a little bit which didn't really help or hurt. Now I feel really n*, and like I have a burning in my stomach. It kind of feels like hunger, but again I don't feel like I have any appetite at all. The thought of food actually makes me kind of n*. I don't know what is wrong with me lately. The past week or so I have felt like this most of the time. The only good thing that has come out of it is that I have been really proud of myself for controlling some panic attacks. They have been creeping up on me, but I have been able to talk myself out of them pretty quick. I can't wait to see my therapist tomorrow - 3 weeks without an appointment has been rough!

Well, it's about lunch time and I am scared to eat. I don't want to make myself sick! I have so much work to do!

Try to eat something because if you go without eating you will feel
worse. Even if it's one of the 'safety' foods like crackers, atleast
it's something to keep your blood sugar at a decent level so you can
    still operate.

Well, I ate some lunch. It feels like I just ate the biggest meal of my life, but I really just had a small amount of what I brought. Ugh, I sure hope this feeling goes away!

well done for managing to control the panic attacks! thats a great achievement! keep it up. I'm slowly gaining control over them too! I have also had bad IBS symptoms and have been worse than normal for the past 3 or 4 weeks. I become anxious when the symptoms flare up and avoid eating when I feel nauseous. However, try eating little but often just so that you're not going hungry which can make you feel more nauseous and drink fluids (but not too much) because dehydration can also make nausea worse. Hope this helps. Hope you feel better soon.

I still feel awful. I ate lunch, and then I just ate dinner about an hour ago. I have all these weird pains and cramps all the time in my stomach. I just feel horrible. The cramps kind of feel like IBS, but it is a little differet than IBS problems I have had before. I'm wondering too if my dyspepsia is coming back. I was on Protonix for a while and it really helped, but since we are trying for a baby I stopped taking them. My doctor said to use them "whenever" so it's not like I stopped a medication that my doctor wanted me to take everyday. I don't think I'm pregnant yet, so I suppose I could take something, but I really don't want to chance it. My IBS kept me up for a coupl eof hours last night - that was the first time in several months that it has happened. I feel like I am losing all the progress I made. I see my therapist tomorrow and I haven't been able to do some of the exposures she wanted me to. I feel like I'm going to disappoint her, but it just seems like so much to handle right now. On top of that, my boss has been acting weird towards me lately so I have kind of been stressing over that. I really feel like I need a break!

Do you think you might be pregnant??That could cause some of your feelings! Or, possibly, you are really stressed right now, and maybe feeling overwhelmed???
That, which does not kill us, makes us stronger!

Maybe you are pregnant?? What are your chances?

Whatever it may be, it surely doesn't sound like a bug. I hope you are feeling better by now, and get some answers soon!! Charlotte

Some people when theyget over-hungry go past having an appetite and just feel nauseous, with growling, gurgling stomach - maybe that's what you have been having. And the continued nausea etc is maybe anxiety over the feelings you have been having in your tummy.

Hope you are feeling better soon.

You know? I think I had more or less the same thing, about 3 or so years ago! It just came over me one morning, and I completely lost my appetite. I could only nibble at things for days- no other symptoms at all, just feeling N*. I almost did v* but I talked myself out of it. It took me about a week to get over...still to this day i dunno what it was.

Could possibly be what you have! Maybe a very mild virus...your body might be trying to fight somehting off. But yes, you MUST eat, you need strength no matter what. Have some toast or something, perhaps, plain foods and lots of water...very good for you. Hope you feel better soon!

I suppose pregnancy is a possibility, but I'm thinking kind of a slim one. We just decided to start trying about a week ago and I think I would have already been past my ovulation, but who knows. I have only been off the pill for almost 2 months, so I am still not regular. I should start sometime within the next week if I am going to start at all.

I know part of my problem is that I haven't been eating the fruit that I need to in order to control the IBS. I'm sure that's a factor. But I feel different than that. It's not real n* - more like sharp, burning pains. But still not like normal heartburn. It hasn't stopped me from doing anything really, but it is annoying. I have also had this really sharp pain in my lower back on the right side. I know I have kidney stones on my left, but they said my right side was clear.

I have been forcing myself to eat and everything. I always feel horrible after I do, but hopefully I will get over that soon. If I am pregnant, at least I will know soon!

It would be nice if I was pregnant - at least I would know what it was! SInce I am not sure when I am due to start my period, I'm not going to worry about testing or anything for awhile. I don't want to waste a bunch of money to find out I'm not even pregnant. If I haven't started in two weeks though, I will test. Isn't it too early though if I was to feel like this?

Actually, I have felt abdominal twinges and "acidy" stomach that soon with being pregnant. ( have 5 kids) Everyone is different, and some women just know their bodies and can feel things early on. That was they way I was with every pregnancy. In fact, I had symptoms with my last pregnancy, before they could even get a positive blood test result because I was tipped off by twinges, slight uterine cramping, and tingly breasts. I hope you get an answer soon! Good luck!Charlotte

What did your twinges and acid stomach feel like? It's like I never feel hungry - I go from completely fine to sharp pains in my upper stomach and cramps in my lower stomach. Like right now - I feel like I should probably eat, but I am hgetting bad pains/acidic feeling right under my ribs. I never felt hungry, but now I feel like I'm starving. But also n* and don't want to eat because of it. Now I am curious and want to test . . .

What your describing sounds kind of like what I've had for the past few
days. Sharp acidy pains in the upper stomach and gassy cramping feeling
in the lower. I also have a burning feeling that's sort of like hunger,
but I don't really have much of an apetite.

I don't feel worse after eating but I don't feel better for very long either.

That doesn't exactly support the theory that you're pregnant though, because I know I'm not.

My problem is stress, maybe that's what yours could be too?

It definitely sounds like we have the same thing, whatever it is. Just like you said, it feels kind of life hunger but I have no appetite. I don't think I have been really stressed lately, but who knows. Maybe something is getting to me more than I think. I really want to go back on my Protonix, but I am scared to do that in case I am pregnant. How about Zantac? Do you think that would be safer if I was pregnant (since it's over the counter) or should I stay away from everything? I know you're not supposed to take anything like that when you are pregnant, but since I probably am not, would it be okay?

I know what you're going threw, my IBS has been sooo out of controll for abot 2 1/2 weeks now .And to top it all off, I've had to switch primary care Dr.s because I think mine just thinks I'm nuts. I've had swollen lymph nodes in my neck for one month shy of oneYEAR now and she stlii doe'snt know why and has'nt called for any tests to be done. She wanted me to go on an antibiotic but I'm holding off untill I see my new Dr. next month. But yeah, I wish my stomach would calm down too. I hope you feel better soon!!!
