    Default Really confused and scared?

    Hi guys,

I made this account a few months ago when I had a family member that was sick and I needed some advice. Well, guess what? A family member got sick again -__- My sister literally just V* 2-3 times in the past hour and my mom is taking her to the hospital. I need some reassurance and/or questions answered. Here's what's been going on the past few days....

Ok so it all started on Thursday. My dad came home from work complaining of a stomach ache and a low grade fever. He said he ate a sandwich from a gas station ( smart move right?) and shortly after he started to feel sick. He said he had some loose bowel movements but not full on D*. I was a little freaked out, but not as much as I would normally be because I figured it was just food poisoning and I'm pretty sure that's not contagious unless you ate the contaminated food too.... Anyways he took some Immodium ( that nasty green D* medicine) and he's been fine ever since. He never actually "got sick", so I thought everything was fine.

Flash forward to today.... Today I went to work with my dad and when we got back my sister was complaining of having a fever. I asked her what she did when I was out with my dad and she said that she went to Chili's and had lunch and then went shopping with my mom. She said she felt fine before she ate at Chili's, and then an hour or 2 later she started feeling sick. So I started to freak out because what are the odds that my dad AND sister get food poisoning a day apart from each other? My sister V* about 3-4 times tonight and my mom is currently taking her to the hospital. SO the question is, Do you think that it's just a coincidence that my sister and dad both got food poisoning within a day of each other? OR do you think that my dad picked up some bug/virus and passed it on to my sister? I really can't stand stomach viruses/bugs because they're contagious.......... So what do you guys think it is, food poisoning, or a stomach Virus? Please help..... I can't stand being emetophobic. It literally ruins my life sometimes.

Honestly, your dads doesn't sound like either to me. Sometimes that just happens to people. Your sister sounds like a sv* so just keep washing your hands and keeping them away from your face. Keep your immune system up. I'm glad your mom is taking her to the hospital.
