Default Question about exposure and having high anxiety

Ok, I have posted a couple of times in the last week about my grandson being sick, a kid at Church being sick behind me and people at work getting sick. I have so far passed the time frame as to being exposed to all of these elements. But.....this is my question....the 2 ladies that have been sick at work still are having diarreah after its been days since they were initially sick. No one else in their family have been sick, just them. Another lady here has had the flu and hopefully I haven't been exposed to that. Another lady now is going home sick because she feels *N & feels like she is going to have *D. I haven't even seen her today. She is about to leave and we don't even use the same restroom. So I hope I am ok there. My grandson is still sick on and off with *V and *D. Its been going on for 8 days at least now. He gets sick, then he is fine. He plays, eats, drinks, etc. Then gets an upset belly again. Do you think these are *SV? My stomach is a mess right now thinking about all this. My heart is racing and I am trying to calm myself down. I just want to live in a bubble. I thought when April approached we will be in the clear. But not so far. My palms are sweating even with nerves. Someone please help me calm down. I am beside myself.

It sounds like your grandson has a food intolerance. No sv* I've heard of has lasted more than a few days at most. I think you're going to be fine. Just wash your hands after the bathroom at work to keep from catching whatever your coworkers have. Take some deep breaths, it will be okay!

Thank you for responding. I've just needed someone who understands to respond for a minute. My husband trys to help me as much as he can. But it helps to talk with someone that knows where I am coming from. I am thinking the same thing about my grandson. She is going to take him back to the doctor today. As far as the sickness here at work, I am trying my best to stay clear from them, scrubbing my hands and doing alot of praying. Thank you again for your help. Hope you are doing well.

Hey there, how are you feeling now? I just want to let you know that my daughter had something that made her V every 3 days and it had me thinking some seriously desperate measures. Fortunately it only lasted 9 days but we had her stool tested and........no bugs. The doctor thought Abdominal Migraine which basically means the gut gets an infection (not neccesarily contagious) and becomes inflamed causing V. Wash hands well anyway but particularly at work, and remember sweetie, that we're here for you, just message away! Xx

I am feeling some better right now. My stomach still feels a little off, but I am pretty sure its from all my anxiety and worry. One of the ladies that was sick at work is already back today, so it must have been something she ate. She said she feels better. But I am still staying clear from her & the others plus washing my hands even more than usual, just to be safe. My grandson went back to the doctor and they keep saying its still from the bug he had. I just feel that its something else. It could be something like what you mentioned. Thank you so much for always responding back and giving me encouraging words. Hang in there, we will all get through this!

Isn't there some kind of virus too that kids get, that lasts longer? Rotovirus, is it? I believe it's only children who are susceptible to it, though, so no worries there. I do hope he feels better soon, though!
