    Default What helps me

Ok so I am 17 and I have had this phobia for as long as I can remember. In the last year it's gotten much worse. But in the last month or so every time I start to get anxious about it I tell myself a couple things that you might try too. 1 I tell myself there is no danger here, I am okay. And 2 anxiety is just an emotion and guess what you can control your emotions! So it can not hurt you. The best thing for me is to stop it before I really start getting anxious. And praying and trusting god really does help the very most. When I start to get anxious I ask him to calm me down and heal anything that might be going on and then by trusting in him it literally vanishes. I hope this helps!

Those are some really great things to say to yourself, I'm so glad you are able to use rational thoughts to help you! I try sometimes it works, sometimes not! And remembering God made me and is waaaaaaaay bigger than my fear is always a refreshing reminder!
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. -Isaiah 41:10

How beautiful.,I had to comment on this. Anyone who can find peace within has found something truly wonderful.
