I think that the reason i have so many panic attacks is because its been so long since i was actually s*** that i dont remember what it feels like. Therefore any kind of feeling or movement i get in my stomach, i convince myself that im going to be s***. My mum says that the feeling that i feel, everyone else feels but i just pay more attention to them. Does anyone else feel like this??

I definitely think that we tend to pay lots more attention to our digestive systems than most people. I remember when I was younger and my emet was at it's all time worst. I convinced myself that the hunger I was feeling was nausea and I had completely stopped eating. Now I realize, I was freaking hungry. Back then I thought if I ate that I would get sick. Now I know that if my body is going to get sick, it will do it with or without food.

I think it's important for all of us to try to distinguish between real nausea and what we convince ourselves is real.

And yes.. I think that the anticipation of what it will be like the next time I get sick is enough to cause anxiety. We obsess over it everyday, but most of us haven't actually gotten sick for a long time. I always ask people tons of questions, trying to remember what vomiting is like or trying to understand it better. I think that the not knowing and not understanding definitely creates panic in us.

I feel exactly the same way!!!! I defiantely obsess over what my body feels, the slighest twinge in my stomach.

I used to be able to distinguish between feeling nausea and not - now I can't ven do that!! I can't tell the difference between nausea and nervous nausea and now I pretty much assume I feel ill all the time!!

Yes, me too, kelyl, I am EXACTLY the same! Its been so long for me too, that I can't really remember what feeling truely sick feels like! Not that I want to know. Oh, god *touches wood* lol.

Whenever I pay attention to it, I start worrying about every little gurgle my stomach makes, every tiny little twinge I might get, and start to worry I'm getting an SV...but this is every day stuff, people get gurgles and twinges all the time...they just don't notice. Its natural.

Anxiety is the bane of my existence xD And nervous nausea is even worse...worrying about worrying about v*ing! Its silly! But yes, we do have to try to distinguish between the two, because they're very different.
