I was planning on my brother and sister in law coming to visit next weekend (they are 15 and 4). My b.i.l. (the 4 year old) had a sv a wekk and a half ago. It only lasted one day. By the time he comes it will have been 2 1/2 weeks. I was feeling okay about that, but I just found out that it was going around my s.i.l.'s work (the 15 year old) last week. 3 people got it - 2 with just n* and one with v* (don't know about d*). My s.i.l. didn't get it, but now I am worried that she will either carry it or get it while she is here. It's a week away - do you think that's enough time to be safe?

I think you should be fine. Little kids v* from anything, and the 4yr old probably didn't even have a sv. So I wouldn't worry. And did the 15yr old even get the virus?? If not, then don't worry at all, I sure he or she isn't carrying the virus if they never got it. And if you don't feel good, just call and say something happened, or that your husband is not feeling well. They might understand, and if they don't, then they will get over it. Good luck.

Two and a half weeks is plenty of time. Even if your brother in law or
sister in law were carrying it they wouldn't still be contagous by that
    time.

I agree. Considering she doesn't get any symptoms between now and then, I would think you would be perfectly safe having them come visit.

I know. Everyone gets confused when I talk about him. THey think the 4 year old is my b.i.l.'s son - therefore my nephew, but nope. My hubby has a 4 year old brother! The funniest part was when I told everyone I was potty training my b.i.l.!!!
