Default Son has stomach virus... freaking out!

My son had D and a fever for about 24 hrs, then seemed better today. Tonight I decided to give him a bottle and half way through he started crying and then proceeded to throw up all over my couch. I cleaned up, put all our clothes in the laundry and put my son to bed. Hes been sleeping for 2 1/2 hours with no more vomiting. I am terrified of catching his bug. I stayed calm with him but now that he is asleep, my mind is racing. I hate this waiting game of will I or won't I catch it. I have washed my hands a million times. Any advice/ support is very welcome. thanks

Aw man :/ poor baby! How old is he? are u sure its a stomach virus? Just seems out of the normal for him to have D and a fever for a whole 24 hrs Before he actually got sick. Anyway, I hope he feels better soon! You are doing great, just stay washing your hands after every diaper and clean everything u can with bleach. You know the drill

I'm guessing he's very young, so it may be rotavirus, which doesn't usually affect adults, and if it does it's asymptomatic. Kids v* for a lot of reasons, especially when they have a fever. Wash hands, keep them off face, you know the drill.

He's 2 1/2 years old. (and yes, he still likes his warm milk before bed lol). Apparently there is alot of stomach stuff going around right now, so I'm pretty sure thats what it is, but am taking him to doc in case its his ears or throat. I have the bleach and have wiped down whatever I can but how do I get the germs off the couch? He only v the one time and is asking for banana this morning, so hopefully this bug is on its way out. Any other Moms out there have success stories of not getting sick after caring for a sick child? I need some positive thoughts.
