Question How much phenergan does it take to work?

I was reading and it said 25mg for nausea and up to 50-75mg is necessary, not exceeding 100mg in 24 hours.

So the times when I take allot of Phenergan pills, I wasn't really ODing? I also read that it is impossible for anti-emetics to lose their efficiency with long term use...

Can anybody help me understand it better?

I kinda want to take 3 pills at night (12.5 milligrams each) instead of 25mgs.

Your body can definitely build up immunity to any drug including antiemetics. Try to obly take the medicine when you HAVE to. Take one amd if it isn't getting better in 30 minutes have another. But never ever stray from your doctors orsers or you can harm yourself.

I agree with above ^^ (jparsons)----take one, and that should help within 30-45 minutes, if not, take another. I had a SV Christmas 2010, took WAYYYYY too many Phenergans and I started hallucinating, but it still did not help. Although, I only got sick once, instead of a few times that may occur with SV. Do not take a lot of Phenergans at one time, can have negative side effects. I saw butterfilies---hahaha.

This is why antiemetic abuse is generally not a problem for healthy people, because they might have one bad trip like greasydago did and never want to do it again. Drugs like phenegran are most dangerous for young children and people with severe breathing and cardiac problems or a severe allergy to the drug otherwise greasydago's outcome and some constipation is generally the worst likely outcome. This all changes if you mix it with alcohol and other drugs, then you must be very careful and do not make any combinations that you haven't checked out thoroughly preferably with a medical professional. I always check combinations and doses on sites like fda.gov and drugs.com, but if in doubt, ask a medical professional before you act, but those sites will get you close in terms of correct dosing. I also think you should use your antiemetics as rarely as possible so they will pack the most punch when you need them. It may be that continued use doesn't reduce their effectiveness, but it definitely lowers their effect on you in terms of side effects like drowsiness so I think that means that at least in some ways your body does get used to them.
