Constipation and d* in same bowel movement???

Ugh, so, the last few days I have been very constipated, which is not at all unusual for me. Finally about 15 minutes ago I went to the bathroom, but I had watery pretty much d* along with solid stool. And now I'm really anxious that I'm going to get actual d* or worse actually v*. Could it just have been my body trying to put more liquid into the hard stool? I wish I could bug my family about it, but it's like 11:20pm and they're all asleep. Please someone put my mind at ease so I can actually sleep tonight!

Hello. What sometimes happens is when you are so constipated and you go, some of the fluid stool will leak around the hard stool. It's not diarrhea really, just your body trying to push out the hard stool and other stuff gets out too. Sorry for the lovely description. Hope you feel better and were able to sleep!!

It's probably ibs, I get this all the time

I have IBS too and yes it's common to be constipated and have diarrhea during the same bowel movement.
