    Thumbs down already?

Well i havent been on here for like 5 months but im back. School starts in a week and that means noro will be a concern for me. As a matter of fact 3 of my friends have had it recently. Its that newer strain so it packs a punch. Thankfully we all had it in december. My question is, why is it around already and since we had it if we get exposed again would it be as bad of an illness? Im almost out of zofran to.

I had hoped you would have used this time to kick emets a... and get everything under control. Life can be so much better. Last year you were in hell. Please consider getting more treatment or meds so you can enjoy your life and your children. HUGS

I don't know where you are in your educational life, but football games, school dances, Halloween and lots of fun things are also coming up. Try to focus on the fun stuff. Now they are over sv, I am sure that's what your friends are doing. Don't let a few potiental bad days a year ruin the whole school year.

Though the symptoms are the same, strains can vary person to person based on many aspects - it is just the way viruses and bacteria morph so unfortunately, you can get it again and again. Though I agree with everything posted above, we're all here because we are or at one time have had emetophobia. It can be a paralyzing fear and that needs to be respected. There are certainly medications out there that can alleviate some of the anxiety and avoidance as well as depression and some great counseling resources, but real change takes time. You're not a bad person or behind in any way, shape, or form for not being 'over' this fear. And that is ok! I truly hope you're able to seek some counseling during this rough patch and make some big changes! Just remember proper hand washing protocol and take care of yourself as your immune system can weaken when you're under stress. I really hope you're doing well!

I watch this show sometimes in the morning called the doctors. And lucky for me Monday they talked about Noro. I panicked the whole time I watched it. They called it the new superbug because there is no treatment and there is no immunity. So you can keep catching it. So yeah that freaked an emet out knowing that if you got it you can catch it again.

I don't know what year your in. But I'm sure you know to just keep up your hygiene.

    YO YO YO

It is not a superbug, it is noro, just a new strain. It acts like reg old noro we have been dealing with. If you wash hands and keep out mouth you should be fine. Bako stop watching med shows they do not seem to be helping you.

I think fixxxer is referring to his kids being back in school.

Wash hands, keep out mouth, live your life, enjoy life, it is not dangerous. HUGS

Ha Ha Cynna. I know I wrote that but those aren't my words. That's what they said on the show. They were talking about the new strain.

It was really odd because they don't normally talk about that kind of stuff which is why I like the show. It's usually based on serious conditions, healthy living and stuff related to women. So I just randomly caught that episode. Lucky Me!!
