    Default Question regarding Norovirus...

Hello all, I hope everyone is well. I haven't posted here in a bit (which I guess is good!). I've also been undergoing hypnotherapy which I think is helping my phobia slowly but surely. Anyway, it was a cold day in Southern California today so it just got me thinking: Is Norovirus any more active in the winter than summer? Is it any more prevalent out in the world? From what I hear it's around all year long, so is there any reason to take more precautions in the winter unless a family member has it or something? I'm extremely clean and highly germophobic, so I think I'll be fine all year around.

    Opinions?

I've heard that winter is definitely when the levels are elevated for noro (but basically for every illness as well)...not really sure why though I don't think it has to do with weather cause I've heard in Australia it's also peak during the "winter" months which are obviously summer there so yeah.

Elevates in winter much like all other viruses because people are more likely to spend time in close quarters (indoors) because the weather is colder. Viruses love close quarters.

Honestly, wash hands like normal with soap and water, keeps hands out of your mouth in summer, fall, winter and spring. That is the major part of keeping yourself healthy. Worrying only makes you miserable. Remem v is not dangerous. It is an irrational fear in our minds. Good luck on your recovery
