    Exclamation V* on pavement

Got to school today, walked over to my friend, about an inch away from a clearish puddle on the ground, I thought it was pop, he told me, when I was inches or even in it, that it was puke, that some guy got off his bus and didn't feel good. I later put hand sanitizer on my shoes then rubbed them in the carpet (only thing I could think to do) but I had to then take them off and put them in my bag, on top of pills I later had to take before I ate.

very freaked out, can't sleep. Little assurance?

Don't worry about it. You'll be fine. I can't tell you how many puddles of it I've stepped in (living in a college town). Maybe the guy just ate something bad; inherently, it's not always as contagious as noro.

It is only airborne until all the particles fall to the ground usu within a minute. Unless the puddle is disturbed it will not become airborne again.

Most hand sanitizers are not effective against noro. There are other threads out there that will let you know which ones would work. Soap and water are the best defense in most cases.

I would not really worry about your shoes. Unless you stepped directly in it, there should be nothing on your shoes. It is a good practice to wash your hands after touching the bottom of your shoes.

Your chances are pretty much zero it sounds like. Relax. Enjoy your night

Yeah, I freaked out a little bit too when I saw a puddle of something that looked like it outside of a store the other day. Nearly walked in it myself. If it didn't get on the shoes, then try to just walk by it and proceed with your day like nothing happened (concentrate on the things you have to get done instead of concentrating on what you saw -- easier said than done, I know). If you are certain you did step in it, it's still highly unlikely that you would have caught anything from it later -- especially after having walked around for a while afterwards. It's not necessarily noro like others have said and it could have been a reaction to food, motion sickness, side effect from medication...lots of other possibilities besides something contagious. I hope this helps you.
