I work at Pizza Hut, and this is my first winter season working there. I'm starting to get paranoid about it since I often eat at work, I'm getting worried that people may catch norovirus or something like it and touch the ingredients, contaminate the whole containers of cheese or whatever they touch, I make myself a pizza, I eat it, I catch it. I'm not sure if that's impossible because the food goes through the oven or something, but I'm washing my hands and offering to supply the store with Zylast or Clorox hand sanitizer as if I'm the germ police. I'm not sure if that's a completely irrational worry or if there's something I can do to prevent it. I don't plan to eat there as much as I did the last few months, but some nights if I haven't eaten in a few hours I don't really get a choice. Normally I'd just pack something, but I tend to have no idea what will sound good in 3 hours and end up not bringing anything. I'm just wondering if this is even something worth worrying about, in all reality I ate fast food in winter the last 20+ years, and just didn't think about the possibilities. Now that I work in one, my eyes opened to a completely different perspective on why I "should" worry.
